Details and photos of her wreck from Javier Alonso-Iņarra

02 hours of 6 august 1907, in dense fog, at low speed, ship collided with rock named Ballote. Efforts to rescue her did not work, crew safely grounded. Captain Guillermo Suarez, Spanish sent four hands with pilot to San Esteban in one lifeboat to request help. A few hours later it was determined that salvage was not possible. Cargo was unloaded after tow efforts by Blas a towboat from Gijon.

Boat insured by Seguros La Estrella 30.000 GBP. Weeks later, Lloyds of Gijon was offering the wreck for sale.

Wreck partially salvaged. Then fishermen from nearby ports and Oviņana rescued iron, copper, bronze fittings.

As of today, remnants lay only a few metres deep.
