A small amount of information is available about this shipyard building sailing vessels in the 1800's,

The yard is quoted as having been on the south side of the Tees, therefore in what is now Thornaby rather than Stockton

And from David Asprey, a partial history of this vessel, probably a paddle tug -

COVENANTER (1854 – 1855)  iron paddle vessel?
O.N. 25874.   154g. 71n.   110.4 x 17.1 x 10.6 feet.

1846: Built by William Turnbull & Company, Stockton-on-Tees (Yard No. ??) for James & Alexander Bremner and John R Bell, Liverpool. 

31.3.1854: Purchased by William Jolliffe, Liverpool. 

08.1855: Sold to London owners.

Registered in period 1857-1859 to A. Pervanogler, 1860-1864 to G. C. Frangluadi
